Pharma means big business.

Do you have a clear idea of just how big the pharmaceutical industry is?

Try this on for size: According to Statista, Americans spent a whopping $574 billion on medicines in 2021. That year, Humira was the best-selling drug, generating $17.3 billion in sales. Keytruda was a distant second with $9.8 billion, while Eliquis came in third with $9.7 billion.

The implications are crystal clear. There will always be arthritis, cancer, and blood clots to deal with, along with a multitude of other medical conditions. Therefore, we can expect the pharmaceutical industry to continue growing at a brisk pace.

Something else this industry has in abundance is job opportunities. We’ve found a work-from-home vacancy that you can apply for right now.

MedOne, a provider of pharmacy benefits solutions based in Iowa, is looking to hire a data entry specialist who can work remotely.

More on MedOne

The length of time that Richard Hartig’s family has been involved in the pharmaceutical industry is truly impressive.

In 1904, the Hartig clan launched Hartig Drug, which has since become one of the longest-running family-owned pharmacy chains in the U.S. Nearly a century later, Richard would strengthen the family legacy by launching his own pharma venture.

When he established MedOne in 1999, his selling point was cost efficiency. By presenting solutions such as cutting out intermediaries and offering direct pricing, MedOne went over really, really well with business owners looking to maximize their resources.

As the 2000s unfolded, MedOne significantly expanded its scope. From discount card programs to a pharmacy help desk that catered to the needs of registered members, MedOne churned out one innovation after another. The 2010s saw more of the same, with claims processing becoming more efficient and distribution channels (such as mail order) growing more robust.

At present, MedOne serves clients in each of the 50 U.S. states. By all indications, it will continue to provide high-quality pharmacy solutions well into the future.
