Work Part Time Overnight from Home and Earn $17.50 per Hour in This Tutoring Job

The joy of teaching. Work from home. Nuff said.

Most of us have memories of grappling with math and science in school. As the numbers got weirder and the formulas crazier, we all wished that help would come our way. You know, some savior who would simplify the concepts and calculations.

Years later, you got better at those subjects. Now, you can be that savior for some anxious kid desperate for a passing grade.

Interested? Bless your heart! A company called Paper needs you.

This remote learning provider is looking for experienced math and science tutors who are willing to work the overnight block (8 p.m.-6 a.m. EST). What’s more, Paper is making this part-time job available in all 50 states.

In other words, this is your chance.

Responsibilities of a Paper tutor

As a tutor, you’ll be conducting virtual learning sessions with multiple students in your area of expertise. Specifically, you need to help them improve their critical thinking skills, self-confidence, and motivation to learn.

Of course, you need to be capable of handling diverse backgrounds, opinions, and academic levels, all while keeping your own biases in check. You should be able to foster an engaging environment that will keep learners with different temperaments coming back for more.

While the teaching part is the primary focus of a tutor’s job, there are several other tasks to carry out as well. These include planning your teaching strategies and assessments and disseminating feedback to your learners and their teachers at school.

Did we mention that you’ll also be interacting with your fellow tutors? You’re all in this together, so it would be nice if you could exchange best practices and provide moral support.

Qualifications for the tutor post

Since the academic development of young learners will be entrusted to tutors, Paper won’t just hire the first person to apply. It certainly has clear qualifications in mind.

For starters, Paper expects you to have an undergraduate degree in the field you want to teach. No expertise, no tutorials!

Paper has quite a number of preferences (and understandably so). It’s leaning towards applicants who have already worked with children in the past, as well as those who have been tutors for at least a year.

Passion for teaching is a must-have, along with the ability to accommodate different learning styles and personal needs. In other words, you can’t be a tutor unless you really, really love this teaching thing.

Time-wise, you need to be willing to commit a minimum of 10 hours every week. On any given shift, you might work anywhere between 4 to 8 hours.

Hourly rates start at $17.50, and wages are paid every two weeks. Though the minimum commitment is 10 hours, tutors can work up to 30 hours in a single week, so imagine the payout in that scenario!

Paper ensures its tutors have a support system that will help them hold the fort because, as we all know, teaching can be a real headache at times (most of the time, even).

When all else fails, remember that you can slump back into your favorite chair or throw yourself on your bed. This is a work-from-home gig, so during your downtime, you can at least afford to relax in the comfort of your home.

If this part-time position sounds appealing to you, head over here to get started on your application. Who knows? You might be the science buddy that helps little Timmy ace his chemistry quiz.
