After serious health scares rocked Reitano and his family, the Columbia University graduate decided to devote himself to an initiative that would provide healthcare services to…well, just about anyone. In 2017, four years after he obtained a double degree in economics and creative writing, Reitano opened a new chapter in his life with the launch of Ro.

Within the span of three years, Ro had made serious waves in the healthcare industry. The company co-founded by Reitano went on to offer specialized services in the areas of women’s health, men’s health, and smoking cessation. It eventually launched its own pharmaceutical line, followed by a weight management program. 

In the year that COVID-19 swept across the globe, Ro was solidifying its financial base by securing $200 million in Series C funding. This capital injection went a long way in enabling the company to address the numerous healthcare issues brought about by the pandemic.

As it turned out, one key feature of Ro’s services came in very handy during the pandemic period. The feature in question is telehealth, which harnesses communication technologies and the internet to link medical personnel and patients.

To date, the Ro platform has facilitated over 8 million digital consultations across the U.S. Aside from addressing emergency health situations, Ro has become a go-to site for concerns related to mental health, sexual health and fertility, and skincare.

Patients are in good hands since Ro works with organizations such as the American Diabetes Association, the Prostate Cancer Foundation, and the Alliance for Safe Online Pharmacies. 

What can you expect from this job?

To become a member experience coordinator for Ro, you need the following:

  • Prior experience in a customer service-oriented job
  • Critical thinking and organizational skills
  • Patience as well as the ability to remain calm in tense situations

In terms of availability, you need to be able to work one of these three shifts:

  • Sunday to Thursday (from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET)
  • Tuesday to Saturday (from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET)
  • Tuesday to Saturday (from 1p.m to 9 p.m ET)

Here are some of the responsibilities that will be entrusted to you in this role:

  • Engage with Ro members via phone and email.
  • Educate members on product specifications and assist with troubleshooting (via mobile app or the Ro website).
  • Address concerns regarding account management and product shipments.
  • Create an overall positive customer experience for Ro members.
