Want to Work as a Customer Service Rep? This Healthcare Company Has a Vacancy to Fill

This is the big leagues we’re talking about!

If a business has stuck around for a long time, it’s probably because of great customer service.

While financial resources and vast distribution channels can get a company quite far, the secret sauce is really the efficiency and diligence that goes into satisfying customers’ needs. When customers feel they receive A+ treatment, they become loyal to the brand, which leads to great business for the company.

Are you capable of providing exceptional customer service? If so, there’s a company in the healthcare sector that would love to have you.

That company is none other than CVS Health. Billing itself as the “leading health care solutions company” in the U.S. (and for good reason, mind you), CVS is looking to beef up its roster of team members who can do awesome work on the frontline.

Specifically, the company is looking to hire a customer service representative under remote arrangements. If you’re comfortable with a work-from-home set-up and happen to be equipped with customer service skills, this is the job for you!

More on CVS

Excellent customer service has definitely played a role in the longevity of CVS, which has been around since 1963.

When Consumer Value Store opened for business, it wasn’t even in the healthcare industry. As a matter of fact, it started out as a health and beauty outlet! Four years after its launch, CVS began to branch into pharmaceutical products. The rest, as they say, is history.

In 1969, CVS was sold to retail giant Melville Corporation. As a Melville subsidiary, CVS Pharmacy essentially dominated its field. When Melville decided to split into three separate entities in 1996, the core part of the company took on the CVS identity. This particular Melville spin-off would go on to be called CVS Corporation.

This new CVS has significantly expanded its scope in the 21st century through the acquisition of other healthcare companies, among them retail drug chain Longs Drugs in 2008, infusion services provider Coram in 2014, and pharmaceutical services provider Omnicare in 2015. The cherry on top, though, would have to be the $70 billion purchase of insurer Aetna in 2018.

These days, CVS Health (as the company has been called since 2014) offers a wide spectrum of healthcare, pharmaceutical, and insurance products and services. Of course, the medical staff of CVS Health are on top of their game, but the company also relies heavily on the work ethic of its customer service team.

This is where you come in.

To become a customer service representative for CVS Health, you need the following:

  • Customer service experience in an environment where transactions are constantly processed (such as a call center or a retail outlet)
