At one point or another, we’ve all been mesmerized by lawyers. Watching them do their thing—whether inside a courtroom or at their desk in the office—makes us wonder how they pull it off so effortlessly.
Here’s a little secret: They don’t do it on their own.
One way or another, every lawyer is part of a team. They work with partners, researchers, paralegals, and other professionals to accomplish their objectives. In short, even lawyers need serious backup.
Would you like to earn money as a lawyer’s teammate? If so, we’ve found a great opportunity for you.
Holland & Knight, one of the top law firms operating today, is looking to hire a professional development assistant. In this remote position, you can provide much-needed support to legal eagles trying their darndest to make the world a better place.
More on Holland & Knight
Let’s acknowledge this right off the bat: Holland & Knight is an awesome name.
The firm emerged in the late 1960s through the union of two Florida-based entities. On the one hand, there was the firm established by former U.S. Senator Spessard Holland in 1919. On the other hand, there was Knight, Thompson & Turner, which was co-founded by former Fort Myers Mayor Peter Knight.
In 1968, these two firms decided to join forces. Thus, Holland & Knight was born.
Over time, the reach of Holland & Knight extended beyond the Sunshine State. Thanks in part to managing partner Chesterfield Smith, the law firm was able to establish a national presence. Eventually, Holland & Knight came to be affiliated with organizations such as the American Bar Association and the National Conference of Bar Presidents.
At present, Holland & Knight provides legal services across 250 practice areas. Clients who have concerns with taxes, health, and intellectual property will certainly get their money’s worth, as would clients struggling with issues related to labor, finance, cybersecurity, and real estate.
The law firm’s comprehensive suite of services is made possible by its vast workforce, which consists of 1,700 lawyers in 32 offices across the globe. Still, 1,700 brilliant minds is not quite enough for Holland & Knight to provide high-caliber legal services on a consistent basis.
These lawyers need plenty of help, and you can provide it.
